Hello! Welcome to my blog, I am so happy that you are here. Thank You for sharing your precious time with me. Keep scrolling to get to know me a little bit better but first, let me tell you about Kdramaomo.
In March 2018, I randomly made a side blog on Tumblr so I could scream about the kdramas I was watching because no one I knew in real life was watching them. I was doing hit and trial on Tumblr for the blog name and Kdramaomo just felt the right fit.
kdrama + omo (omg) = kdramaomo
what to expect from this blog
Korean Drama recommendations, spoiler-free reviews, in-depth discussions, dramas you haven’t heard about, dramas you should add to your watch list, dramas can avoid (because I took the bullet for you and watched it instead), genre-wise, mood-wise and everything in between. With a good mix of Asian dramas, English series, movies, K-pop, books, fashion and skincare.
I also send Newsletters every month which are as much fun to read as they are for me to make them.
a little something about me
My name is Krati. I am a 28-year-old, writer, media teacher and pop culture enthusiast with a post-grad degree in Digital Journalism.
My first introduction to Korean Dramas was back in 2004 with Full House when I was very young and even though I didn’t fully understand the drama I was still obsessed with it. A story about a girl who enters a contract marriage with a famous actor! it was better than any princess stories I was watching on Disney, lol. But shortly after the drama ended the channel that was airing the drama also got cancelled so I went back to Disney.
Fast forward to the time when I was in high school found K-dramas again with Boys over flowers and I have been lost in Kdramaland ever since.
FAVORITE DRAMAS: It’s a long list, very long. Please stay tuned for it.
FAVORITE MOVIES: Twenty, Midnight Runners, Harry Potter, etc. etc.
FAVORITE MUSIC: My playlist has a good mix of English and Korean artists like One Direction, Little Mix, Epik High, Monsta X, Exo, NCT but I am a hardcore BTS stan since 2016. Other than Korean Dramas BTS take all my heart and time. I love them to the moon and back.
OTHER SHOWS: Gilmore Girls, Schitt’s Creek, Friends, The Good Place, GOT, Stranger Things, B99, Rick and Morty, Queer Eye, etc. etc.
LOVE: Oppas ;), Tea in the afternoons, Coffee when I am writing, Rain, Cozy Jumpers, Candles, snuggling in my bed and binge-watching dramas, Reading (books and fanfics), Bullet Journal, Podcasts, Skincare, Desserts but also Spicy Food. I am an introvert but I live to travel, fangirl, starry nights and 2 am talks about life.

a passion and a promise
Around the time I fell in love with kdramas, I used to follow a kdrama blog religiously. The blog officially closed a few years ago. That blog was and is still one of my biggest inspiration. I learned a lot from them, it was one of my favourite place on the internet. I loved them and I still do.
I was so influenced by them that I didn’t watch any drama that the blog didn’t recommend. It was not a problem at first but slowly the blog started dropping dramas and selective viewing. It took me about two years to realise that the bloggers were just not into kdramas anymore and I started watching everything. What was more shocking to me was the fact that some of the dramas they dropped became my favourite dramas of all times.
Why am I telling you this? Because this taught me how big of a responsibility blogging is and I want to make a promise to myself and my readers that I will always be careful and committed if I am not, I will say so.
Please don’t be hesitant to reach out to me, here or any other social media, I love hearing from other kdrama lovers. I have met some of my very lovely friends through kdramas. Seriously, let’s be friends.
